What's Pascha? It's an upholstery option offered by Porsche during the '70s and early '80s on several of it's models, including the 928. Since I am working on restoring my 928, which has a Pascha interior, I have noticed that this is quite a popular option among some 928 owners.
The Pascha pattern could be described as a sort of psychadelic checkered flag, with the checks kind of expanding and contracting in a circular pattern. It is considered in an "Op Art" (Optical Art) genre of design popular during the '70's.
Why a gallery? Porsche had an interior options book that listed the different color combinations available, along with photo samples, but it's tough to tell what they whole effect of the pattern is from just a small sample. Plus, there are a wide variety of exterior colors this uphostery was installed in, and seeing the seats installed within an actual car is quite useful if someone is considering installing Pascha or repainting a 928 with Pascha already installed. In addition, this can serve as a repository for examples of faded/restored samples, examples of used seats sold with prices to use as a price guide, and a place to show samples of non-upholstery Pascha or Op Art accessories.

Give us credit that we learned a bit during the 20 or so years that we built the rear engine sports car and we had a few ideas how to improve on it. That's why 911 drivers don't like the 928, it doesn't feel like it’s handling properly because the onset of all the bad habits of the 911 are pushed much higher up the overall performance curve. It is very hard to make it do the bad things a 911 chassis will do and so it’s perceived to be sluggish or heavy. In fact if you look at the speedometer or tachometer you are actually eating up the terrain at a much higher level with more confidence. That was our goal.
